Jon Bell

Jon was educated at the University of Durham. He has a background in Education, having spent five years managing international student recruitment, partnership development and student accommodation at a major FE college. He has also worked in the charity sector where he was responsible for the UK’s participation in a series of major international youth events. Jon is an experienced English teacher and was appointed Bootham School Lead Ambassador in 2024. He is married to Natalie and has four children and has plenty of experience looking after young people!

Natalie Bell

Natalie was educated at Roehampton University and completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Education at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Following graduation, Natalie worked for ten years as a secondary school teacher and departmental manager in London. Since moving to York she has worked as a teacher in the primary sector and early years education. She holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership & Management in Education, has experience of student admissions in Higher Education and taught English in Central America. Natalie is married to Jon and together they provide the perfect ‘legal guardians!’
